August twisted the narrative of our personal and collective stories. September comes to take what we now know and twist the details of physical reality.

Mid-month marks the first eclipse in the Pisces/Virgo series. The introductory eclipse opens a doorway to a developing story unfolding for the next few years. Harken back to April 2023 or November 2021, when we were introduced to the eclipse axis’ of Aries/Libra and Taurus/Scorpio, respectively. The Partial Lunar Eclipse at 25° Pisces on Sept 17th is much like the November 2021 partial eclipse in that both cycles first appeared with a North Node lunar eclipse. This one has extra potency as it foreshadows the impending Saturn/Neptune conjunction, a significant indicator of the dissolving and reimagining of structural reality. Expect an entrance that creates a wrap-up quality in your Pisces house. The agenda reflected seeks to introduce the transitionary steps on your evolutionary path.

September’s Message: 

“Life is speeding up.”

Before we swim through the lunar eclipse portal, we must seed in the 11° Virgo New Moon on Sept 2nd. Virgo energy is one of physical quickening. A Mercury-ruled sign, the trickster comes in to move the pieces of our tangible world into a new —and hopefully improved— order. We clean out our lives, eliminate what no longer makes sense, and strategize the manifestation of our spiritually backed blueprints. Pluto retrograding back into Capricorn for its final bow the day prior also reinforces this purge for renewal. The irrefutable decay of our structures will insist on integrity.

Virgo is the sign associated with discernment. With Mercury approaching its final square with recently stationed Uranus after its retrograde cycle and in mutual reception with the Virgo sun, there is a liberating mental quality to this new moon. When we see and honor what’s not working, it creates the perfect conditions to co-create something that will. If you’ve been in a cage, devise your breakout. Wash away the old script, and imagine the next chapter. Set an intention to sing your song.

Authentic alignment sets the Universe in motion.

The start of October will bring our second cardinal Libra solar eclipse, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Focus on the power of September’s transitionary momentum. The first three weeks provide an opportunity to augment the mental and emotional shifts of last month’s Jupiter/Saturn square and realize the ideas and plans that were only a twinkle in our eye. Not all our ideals may come together, but perfection is present in the current activated flow. Take advantage.

In other news, Mars ingresses into Cancer on Sept 4th. The warrior planet will play a major role in the timing of our desired mission and why we must take a patient approach. Mars will hunker down due to retrograde in the signs of Cancer and Leo until late Spring 2025. Although we get a taste of bold Leo, much of the action will be in emotional Cancer, with Mars not to leave the crab’s territory until April 18th, 2025. There is no coincidence that this happens to divinely coincide with the next (and final) Aries solar eclipse season. Oh, Universe!

Mars has an initiating yet indirect quality in Cancer. Like a crab that moves from side to side, assertion (and aggression) is covert and at the whims of the moon's ebb and flow. Our motivational drive will have imagination and creativity yet be subject to moods and sensitivities. When you’re in the groove, the momentum may fall out from underneath you, with Mars in its debilitated sign of depression. Try not to get caught in a case of the sulks! On a positive note, Mars in Cancer galvanizes us to pursue what we truly care about. If you don’t care, that’s a sign! Get ready to recalibrate devotion. Intuition will be a helpful guide. Staying aware of the moon and its aspects will provide a reliable indicator of when doubling down or pivoting on a goal is in soul alignment or ramped up by a temporary emotional wave.

Lastly, Mercury re-entering Virgo on Sept 9th will help you get your head straight and focus on sorting out what was messy before and during the retrograde. Organize your ideas, attend to the nitty gritty details, and make concrete plans to fix what needs fixing. Use this access to sharp mental faculties to make practical magic! After attending to the specifics, Mercury will ingress into the scales shortly after the Libra Equinox on Sept 22nd, travel with the Sun over the South Node, and make a superior cazimi conjunction on Sept 30th - an illuminating moment of understanding that will lead us into the solar eclipse!
