EP Podcast - Week of June 24th w/ Mackenzie Greer 💫
This week - June 24th - we are in a bit of an in-between period as a Last Qtr Moon in Aries initiates us into the darkest phase of the lunar cycle as we head towards the upcoming Summer eclipse season. It’s a relatively calm and reflective type of week, yet we may have to get through some inner friction that sets off emotional triggers around the self’s needs before we can settle into a more peaceful vibe. Whatever fires off is doing its best to help us gain the wisdom necessary in order to transition out of the sorrows of the past and into the promise of the future. 🦋
I’m excited to welcome New York based professional astrologer and palmist, Mackenzie Greer, to talk about “Palmistry & Astrology“ - where Mack and I talk about the art of palmistry, it’s mysterious origins, and how the curiosity for this field initiated both of us into the realm of magical studies. We run down some key characteristics that palmists look at while looking at the hands, while also pointing out the planetary and elemental correlations that coincide in both disciplines. So take a good look at your palms and listen in to see what you can find out about your hands! 🔮
Above are the photos I promised to help you identify the areas of the hand while we chat it up! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so hopefully this will help follow along. I added a couple of photos from the book that we didn't necessarily touch on but are interesting none-the-less! Perhaps we will have to do a Part 2 someday. All photos here are from Fred Getting's "The Book of the Hand" (the book I found on my fateful library book sale day!) and "The Hand and the Horoscope" In addition, I also recommend checking out "Lifeprints: Deciphering Your Life Purpose" by Richard Unger to learn more about dermatoglyphics.
Mackenzie also suggested the following to add to your bookshelf: "The Laws of Scientific Hand Reading" by William Benham - "The Art and Science of Hand Reading" by Ellen Goldberg - "Palmistry: The Universal Guide" by Nathaniel Altman - and "New Horizons in Palmistry" by M.A. Malik (which appears to be out of print). So as you can see, there is no shortage of reference material to dive into! To keep up to date with Mackenzie, be sure to check her out over at Mack and the Zodiac and also on IG @mackandthezodiac - And if you would like to reach out to her about setting something up, you can directly email her here.
As always, if you would like to show appreciation for my work, I encourage you to check out my Patreon - for a small nominal fee you can get early access, my new offering Moon Animal Monthly, and/or the option of signing up for the weekly "custom spread" Tarot Subscription! And if you know of anyone who would be interested in such things, please spread the good word to keep this dream alive! 💫
Happy listening! May the stars be with you! ✨✨✨
