75th Anniversary of D-Day aka Operation Neptune

Today marks the 75th Anniversary of the historic US allied military operation - popularly known as D-Day - which played a pivotal role in the outcome of World War II. I thought I’d share a few little astro tidbits about this period of history because there are some very literal associations going on in the planets! 🤩

Known as Operation Overlord, the code name for the Battle of Normandy was “Operation Neptune” and was the largest seaborne invasion in history. The Overlord reference was regarding the goal of a large scale allied occupation of Europe, and the Neptune reference tied into the amphibious start of the campaign. If we look at the charts for the beginning and end of the operation (see below), we see that on the first day of battle on June 6th, 1944 warrior Mars was conjunct the "original overlord" Pluto in Leo -- and right as it entered peacemaker Libra to conjunct Neptune, a cease fire was issued and the mission was dissolved on August 30th, 1944. Coincidentally or not, there was the simultaneously functioning Operation Pluto (Pipe-Lines Under the Ocean) that served in getting the soldiers the fuel they needed from the UK to carry out the operation! So we see right away that both Neptunian and Plutonian archetypes were at play, both in name and execution, with the the Martian planet of war helping to trigger all the action. 🔱

When we align D-Day with the Sibly chart of the US, we see significant action taking place as well! That same Mars / Pluto sits directly on the US’ north node in Leo, and the preliminary attacks were fired as the ASC of the moment aligned with Uranus (it was a surprise attack of course) -- perfect timing right as the US was experiencing its 2nd Uranus return (the first return involved the start of the Civil War which began at that same 9° Gemini degree… see a pattern here?). Neptune is also sitting on the US' MC and what you can’t see in the chart below is that this subversive force is slowing to station direct on June 11th, 1944, just days after the first attack and when the battles were really gaining traction for the allies and their goal of ending the war; this added an even stronger Neptune emphasis to this configuration, and brought additional meaning to the significance of the operation ceasing at exactly this point. Neptune can pull off great deception, and the sneaky approach to this operation is what gave the allies the upper hand in the end. When this planet stations there seems to be a blip on the radar, and that fog is a more than perfect time to infiltrate before the enemy even knows what hit them! We also see that the waxing full moon in Sagittarius conjunct the US ASC helped activate the timing of this sensitive axis even further, and the rest, as they say, was history! 🙌

Now, I’m not crazy about war in the slightest, but I couldn’t deny that these line-ups were pretty cool as far as symbolism and archetype goes! Let's give thanks to all the men and women that have put their lives on the line in the name of protecting the people. That sacrifice, a very Neptunian principle, seems to fit right in with many of the heroes who may have given their lives that day. I hope you enjoy connecting the dots as much as I do, and may a world of future peace be with us! ☮️

May the stars be with you!!! ✨✨✨
