Full Moon in Libra Pt 2 - Truths Come To Light 💡

Part 2 of the Libra Full Moon saga is upon us! It is rare that we get to experience a sign based blue moon, making this configuration one for the books! There is a special energy in the cosmos that is bringing to light emotional dynamics that are attached to future potentials, and much has potentially come to light in the last 4 weeks that have shifted what those potentials look like, giving way to new considerations in our decision making process and who and what we share our passions and energy with.

I talked last month with Pt. 1 of this airy Full Moon about the Aries / Libra polarity and its relation between the self and others, war and union, and going your own way vs. working as a team. These subjects will undoubtedly be back in focus, yet due to the wrapping up finality of the 29th degree of a sign, there are likely to be endings and beginnings to these stories now taking place. Particularly because we are dealing with Cardinal signs - for they are known for initiating change in our lives and being able to pivot and go in different directions once the decision to do so has been made. So there are considerable shifts at play here, not only within the Full Moon configuration but also in regards to some of the significant and unique planetary positions that are currently in the sky.

Exact on Friday, April 19th at 4:12am PDT - we finally break out of our 0° Full Moon streak to have this 29° 'blue moon' opportunity! As this is the the final degree of the sign, some truths are bound to come to light in the natural subjects of the Aries / Libra polarity, as well as, the area that Libra resides for you. What has run its course can now be bid adieu and what needs activation will come into focus, especially as the Moon sits within the bounds of Mars; the surgeon's scalpel can decidedly cut and remove and the martian drive can bring forth the energy to move us towards a decisive direction for the future.

The Aspects - Breaking Point ⚖️

Below is a chart of our Full Moon in Libra at the time of opposition here in San Diego, CA. We have a Uranian signature with the Sun in an out of sign conjunction with Uranus and the Moon in opposition, Venus on the fixed star Scheat, Mercury in conjunction with Chiron and of course, that hard to miss Saturn, Pluto, South Node cluster in Capricorn. There is much to discuss, so let's not waste any time and dive right in...

Let me start by saying that I find it quite fitting that not only do we have a sign based blue moon but we are also breaking a 0° pattern that has been underway since November of 2018, and here we have a lunation with the Sun sitting a few degrees away from its first official conjunction with Uranus now that it has moved in for its 7-yr stay in Taurus! So there is a unique, awakening element to this Full Moon as we have yet to experience this set up - with the Sun / Uranus conjunction perfecting on Monday, April 22nd. Luna will make her first post FM aspect to this very planet, adding even greater significance to this dynamic. The Sun is also parallel with Uranus, strengthening the connection of these two planets that are working strongly together, with the message that realizations are coming in and it's time to shake things up in areas of our life, while breaking free in others.

Our Full Moon ruler once again is Venus, yet for this lunation she is now in Pisces, the sign of her exaltation. This romantic water sign is definitely a cozier position than her first Libra Full Moon where she sat in the detached air of Aquarius and squared her natural opposite Mars, who was in his own detriment in Taurus. Now we have a happier Venus that is more than ready to merge, or open up to necessary sacrifice - where as our previous Venus may have been a little detached or overly concerned with the social realm and what others may think.

Even though Venus is comfy in her Piscean position, she is also conjunct the fixed star Scheat, which sits in the left leg of the constellation Pegasus. This star is known for being a bit of a difficult or messy degree, where there is a state of disorder that is needing to be dealt with and the only solution may be an out of the box one. So if you find yourself in messy relationship or creative energy, there may be the need to use the head to find solutions. This star combines the natures of Mars & Mercury, and since those two planets are currently in mutual reception with one another, I think we will be able to use this star's dynamic in a cooperative - and Libran - manner.

Speaking of Mercury, the messenger is now in Aries and making a conjunction with the "wounded healer" Chiron, who has also recently ingressed into Aries. Chiron, from what I have seen, tends to bring up triggers that we connect with our own personal wounding, yet through these prompts we are initiated into the door of wisdom and experience. So there is likely to be some mental or conversational triggers at this time, and being in Aries it could be quite possible that we have to stand-up or assert ourselves in a way that we many not be used to or entirely comfortable with. Yet, going through the experience will bring self-awareness and understanding. Venus is on path to retrace all of Mercury's steps, so she too will meet in this place of pain that connects us to the value of our wisdom in a few days time.

I say this all within the umbrella that is the Saturn / Pluto / South Node cluster in Capricorn - a configuration that makes these times we are living in quite unique as this precise signature has not been around for centuries. The month of April in particular has been getting the brunt of this line-up, with both planets conjuncting the South Node and then stationing retrograde, which are very strong conditions to be in for planetary energy. Considerable shifts are taking place in the systems of our lives, and we are doing our best to transcend karmic situations and repeated patterns of the self, our relations with others, and our relationship to society. Big changes are underway, and the truths that are now coming to light will help us make the proper decisions to bring in greater balance and harmony so that we may proceed in the direction of initiating our greatest possibilities.

The Symbol - Using Your Head 🙇‍♀️

If you are a previous reader of my astroblog, you know I like to look at the Sabian Symbol of the lunation as it adds another bit of depth to the story that we are telling. As always, we take the degree and minutes and round up. Here we have the following:

Theme: The Prophet

I must say that this symbol and its keyword made a lot of sense to me, particularly due to the fact that prescience is knowing something before it occurs, which is not only a lunar quality but very Uranian as well. Light bulb moments are underway as we understand the principle of cosmic order and how we can incorporate that understanding into our lives so that we can use it effectively within our daily sphere.

The number three is also powerful in its mind, body, spirit connection - or the physical, emotional and intellectual balance - with the number implying that there is a need to even out these states... for if any of the three are out of alignment, we will quickly become aware of the cause and effect of the imbalance. Are you getting enough exercise or physical care? Are you honoring and expressing your emotions effectively? Is the mind listening to these other states of awareness or is it trying to run the show? These may be useful questions to ask at this time.

As there is also a prophetic nature to this degree, it is quite possible that startling revelations or intuitions can come in at this time that allow us to pivot our course and make significant changes in our lives that are based off this prompting. As this Full Moon is ruled by Venus, and she is a receptive energy, listening will be of great benefit at this time. Not only to others, but to yourself as well, for the Sun in Aries is doling out fresh doses of consciousness that are to make us aware of the self and its desires and needs in a healthy way. April has no shortage of unique transits, and this sign based Libran blue moon is certainly one of them! I hope that everyone finds the equilibrium that they are looking for, and are able to follow through on the key intuitions that are being received. There have likely been many possibilities entertained since our first full lunation at 0°, yet now it is time to hone in on your own truth and be willing to open and follow the path of illumination forward.
